COVID at the Capitol – What’s Happening in WDC & St Paul

Summary

It has been an entire year since we began our response to COVID and what a year it has been! Both our state and federal governments continue to address the health and economic impact of this worldwide pandemic.  This timely COVID session will provide an overview of the latest state and federal relief packages. Plus help you keep track of all the programs and resources that will be available in the coming months.

Our session speaker is Georgi Banna of NAHRO who will discuss the housing components of the American Rescue Plan (ARP) including:

  • how housing authorities can plan for the new emergency vouchers
  • how $100M in rental assistance for rural housing will impact RD units in Minnesota and
  • how these federal housing resources in the ARP will help housing authorities at the local level

The session will also feature what’s happening in Minnesota including an update of the state’s eviction moratorium, how the latest round of emergency rental assistance will help housing authorities address tenant arrears for unpaid rent plus much more.

Don’t miss this timely session and register today! Session details will be provided in a separate email that will be sent the day before the event.
