MHP and Minnesota NAHRO Collaborate to Highlight Crucial Information About How Cuts Will Impact Those We Serve

More than 100,000 households across Minnesota — including seniors, veterans, people with disabilities, and working families — rely on federal rental assistance to stay in their homes and connected to their communities.

MHP and Minnesota NAHRO’s report breaks down who depends on this essential support, where they live, and what’s at stake if Congress moves forward with proposed budget cuts. Even a small reduction in funding could push thousands of Minnesotans out of their homes, stran local services, and increase costs for everyone.

With Congress set to debate housing funding in the coming weeks, it’s more important than ever to understand the vital role rental assistance plays in our state’s economic and community well-being.

About Minnesota NAHRO

Our goal is to be the leading housing and community development organization in Minnesota by promoting strong, viable communities for all Minnesotans, particularly those with low and moderate incomes.
