NAHRO August Advocacy helps communities and housers across the country engage with lawmakers during Congress’ annual August Recess. This year, the campaign is expanding beyond letters into a broader local engagement effort that helps lawmakers and community stakeholders see the local impact of HUD programs and funding.
After back-to-back record-breaking years of grassroots advocacy, NAHRO members have shown that housing and community development providers are trusted local voices who can connect federal policy decisions to residents, properties, staff, and communities.
Use NAHRO’s Action Alert Center to message Congress directly and to take additional action through in-district meetings, site visits, local media engagement, resident and stakeholder storytelling, and community-based events.
