Preserving RD Units in Your Community - Update and Opportunities for HRAs

Housing Matters! virtual session on Thursday, October 22 at 10am

Speakers:

Kendra Home, Community Development Manager, Minnesota Housing Partnership
Emajean Hanson-Ford, Executive Director, Douglas County HRA

HRAs are in a unique position to preserve RD properties. With the many changes in the space, the technical assistance MHP has available and the many RD properties in transition, this session will provide an update on how HRAs can be key players in the preservation of these affordable housing units.

Recent federal action has created new tools to help preserve RD rental assistance while addressing the needed rehab at these properties. Plus resources exist to help HRAs if they have the opportunity to take on these properties and add to the affordable housing available in their community. Join us for this virtual session and find out how you can preserve RD and access TA to get it done.
