About the Housing and Redevelopment Authority (Metro HRA) work unit:
The Metropolitan Council Housing and Redevelopment Authority (Metro HRA) operates the state’s largest Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher program serving nearly 7,200 individuals and families with rent assistance through nine different programs and an annual budget of approximately $65 million.
About the Division:
The Community Development division is responsible for the Council’s regional growth strategy; planning and technical assistance to local communities; and planning for the regional parks and open space. The division also includes the Metropolitan Council Housing and Redevelopment Authority (Metro HRA) and the Livable Communities grant program.
Salary: $62,608.00 – $94,473.60 Annually
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Housing, Urban Studies, Social Work, Education, Psychology, Sociology or related field AND two years of recent experience in rent assistance or social services field determining program eligibility.

Desired Qualifications:
Experience explaining governmental programs to, and determining eligibility for, participants and applicants.
Recent (within the last three years) experience with Housing Choice Voucher program or a similar subsidized housing program.
Bilingual or multilingual – able to communicate fluently in English AND one or more other language(s).
