Minnesota NAHRO is excited to continue our online series tailored specifically for HRA staff including maintenance personnel and property managers. Our 2026 “Housing Matters!” series will feature issues unique to HRA residential property personnel.
WHEN: Our quarterly calls will be 2 hours at most beginning at 10am on the 4th Thursday in January, July, & October
TOPICS: Our sessions will feature subject matter experts who will share their best practices & strategies to deal with the unique challenges faced by HRA staff and affordable housing residential property personnel.

Mixed-Status Families: Managing This Issue Despite the Changing Dynamics & Confusing Guidance
Our next Housing Matters! Session will address mixed-status families and how HRAs are managing these households during the ever changing policy environment. This session will help your agency understand various approaches, especially if you don’t deal with this issue often. Our panalist will share how they handle mixed-status households, how they interact with SAVE and how they plan for household transistions if needed.
Our topic is timely as HUD is expected to release its final rule on the subject soon and we hope its guidance is less confusing. In addition, the U.S. Supreme Court will issue its decision on birth right citizenship this summer which may impact these households as well.
Join us for this timely topic which will help your agency to serve these families well, comply with HUD guidance and navigate what can be a challenging political issue.
