A great example of partnership and innovation is happening in Austin, where the Housing & Redevelopment Authority of Austin and Riverland Community College are working side by side to build a home from the ground up.
Students in the carpentry and electrical programs are gaining hands-on, real-world experience while making a meaningful impact in their community. With siding and trim now complete—and drywall, mudding, and priming finished inside—the home is really taking shape.
This is what strong community collaboration looks like: education, workforce development, and housing coming together to create something lasting. A great story to tell and one worth celebrating!
