Minnesota NAHRO seeks a candidate to fill a 15-hour per week position with hours that are flexible, primarily remote work at an hourly rate of $23.00 to $25.00. This is a great opportunity for someone who is customer service oriented, savvy with the online environment, detail oriented and who thrives in a small, non-profit environment. The ideal candidate will possess:
- Reliable secure internet access required.
- Demonstrated ability to provide positive and effective customer service experience required
- Demonstrated ability to complete tasks, work independently and remotely
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, online applications (MailChimp, WordPress) and social media (Twitter, Facebook)
- Self motivated with demonstrated ability to learn new applications and platforms as needed
- Excellent writing, editing and interpersonal skills
- High school or equivalent required

The Minnesota Chapter of the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials (NAHRO) is the state’s leading affordable housing and community development organization. We serve the state’s housing and community development needs by providing professional development, advocacy and benefits to our members. To aid us in this work, we are seeking a part time Membership Outreach and Office Assistant to help our organization deliver our member benefits including regular communications, trainings and online resources. This position is responsible for:
Member Coordination
- Increase membership engagement through digital outreach strategies and activities as measured by website traffic, social media reach, event registration and member engagement
- Maintain and leverage appropriate technology tools to manage member services functions
- Maintain membership and outreach database and records including updating information, generating mailings and mass communications for greater member engagement
- Assist in the development and implementation of membership outreach strategies
Event & Training Support
- Support the Executive Director in planning conferences, trainings, and major events
- Support and coordinate event details and logistics
- Support the development and distribution of event promotions and materials
- Manage registration and track payments
- Synthesize conference and training evaluations
- Develop and track suggestions for future sessions and trainings
- Ability to attend events as needed (transportation to and overnight stays may be required)
