Program Assistant -Greater Minnesota Housing Fund

Greater Minnesota Housing Fund (GMHF) seeks a highly skilled Program Assistant to play a crucial role in providing administrative support for the Emerging Developers of Color (EDOC) Program. The ideal candidate should have exceptional communication, organizational, and task management abilities. The position reports to the EDOC Program Manager. Responsibilities
• Data and document management, activity tracking and reporting, and drafting materials for review
• Plan and staff convenings and events
• Help prepare for grant application cycles, including timeline, application review process, and grantee selection criteria
• Review grant applications for completeness and compliance with program guidelines and objectives
• Prepare award agreements
• Monitor grantee compliance
• Develop timely and accurate activity reports
• Coordinate timely distribution of awarded funds
• Provide technical support to grantees as needed
• Assist program manager and others with periodic program reviews and refinements
• Other administrative duties as assigned

Qualifications
• Expertise and experience in program, office, and grants administration, preferably with a focus on affordable housing or community  development
• Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop and edit documents
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of stakeholders
• Understanding of social and racial justice issues and a commitment to advancing equity for communities of color
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, most notably Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and use of data bases and other program related software

Our Minnesota-based CDFI advances affordable housing throughout Minnesota by directly funding affordable housing projects, providing technical support to local communities and businesses, linking projects with financial resources, securing additional resources for affordable housing, and using research and program development activities to identify new and innovative ways of increasing affordable housing production.
