The Cook Housing Authority (Cook HRA) is currently accepting resumes from qualified candidates for the
position of Housing Manager. This is a full-time 32-hour workweek position, under the direction of the
Executive Director. Applicants must have 2 years of secondary education and a minimum of five (5)
years’ experience in the public housing field (or equivalent field); able to perform housing quality
standard inspections; be knowledgeable with housing software and processing of rental payments.
Primary duties: Implement/administer public housing program regulations and policies; accept and
process housing assistance applications; process rent certifications; interview prospective tenants;
process monthly housing payments and prepare tenant reports for accountants; ability to work with the
public, excellent oral and written communication skills; the ability to multi-task and work independently.
Wages commensurate with experience. Position open until filled.
