The Wadena Housing and Redevelopment Authority (HRA) is seeking a qualified and motivated Executive Director to lead the agencyโ€™s housing programs and operations. The Wadena HRA administers Public Housing, Housing Choice Voucher (HCV), and Multifamily Project-Based Rental Assistance (PBRA) programs, providing affordable housing and supportive services to residents of the City of Wadena and surrounding area.

Responsibilities include:

  • Overall leadership and management of the Housing Authorityโ€™s operations, staff, and HUD programs.
  • Oversight of budgets, financial reporting, and compliance with HUD and state regulations.
  • Implementation of Board policies, program goals, and community partnerships.
  • Coordination with HUD, Minnesota Housing, local governments, and community agencies.
  • Supervision of staff and ensuring effective delivery of housing services to residents.
  • Strategic planning and pursuit of grants and funding opportunities to expand housing initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree inย Public Administration, Business, Finance, or related fieldย (Masterโ€™s preferred).
  • Minimumย five (5) years of progressively responsible experienceย in public housing management or related fields, includingย supervisory and financial oversightย experience.
  • Thorough knowledge ofย HUD regulations, including Public Housing and HCV programs.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and fiscal management skills.
  • Must be bondable and able to pass a criminal background check.
